Indonesia’s efforts to strengthen its position in the global spice market continue to receive positive attention. PT Natura Perisa Aroma (NPA), through its brand Nekaboga, stands as a strong example of how Indonesian spice exporters are transforming their products with higher added value.

At the International Pepper Conference (IPC) 2025 in Kochi, India, Nekaboga earned international recognition by receiving the Best Export of Value-Added Pepper Products 2024 for Indonesia. The award acknowledges companies that demonstrate innovative performance in enhancing the value of exported pepper products. This marks Nekaboga’s second achievement since joining IPC in 2017, reinforcing its reputation as a competitive Indonesian spice exporter in terms of both quality and innovation.

Within the increasingly competitive global spice industry, Nekaboga focuses on pepper processing using steam sterilization technology, ensuring the products meet international food safety and quality standards. This strategy not only boosts global competitiveness but also elevates the value of Indonesia’s spice commodities.

Managing Director of PT Natura Perisa Aroma, Billy Laurence, emphasized that Nekaboga aims to position Indonesian spices as high-value global products rather than raw materials. “This recognition reflects our long-term commitment to quality, innovation, and sustainability,” he stated.

The IPC 2025 event gathered more than 130 companies from various pepper-producing nations. Aside from the award ceremony, the conference also offered knowledge-sharing sessions, exhibitions, and international collaboration opportunities.

As a brand under PT Natura Perisa Aroma, Nekaboga has been a pioneer in Indonesia’s spice sector for over three decades, operating with sustainable principles. Its product range includes black pepper, white pepper, cassia, turmeric, coriander, nutmeg, long pepper, galangal, ginger, mace, cubeba pepper, java turmeric, and tamarind.

All raw materials are sourced directly from Indonesian spice farmers, Nekaboga’s core partners in its supply chain—reflecting the company’s commitment to sustainability and local community empowerment. With this achievement, Nekaboga once again showcases Indonesia’s spice excellence in the global market.
